A major construction contractor required a self-contained gatehouse to manage site access on a large-scale project. The building needed to operate independently with its own power generation, provide clear sightlines for vehicle and pedestrian monitoring, and include amenities for security personnel working extended shifts — all engineered to N3 wind rating for coastal Queensland conditions.
A 10.5×3.4m portable gatehouse with 75mm steel frame construction, 2400mm ceiling height, and full Colorbond cladding in Deep Ocean with Surfmist roof. The layout includes a large open gatehouse office with four 900×1200mm sliding glass windows for maximum visibility, a commercial glass aluminium entry door, dedicated WC with hand basin, and a 1500mm kitchenette bench with single bowl sink and 3L ZIP boiling water unit. Power is supplied by an integrated Kubota GL9000-AU-B 9kVa diesel generator housed in a covered chassis extension with lockable mesh cage. The building includes 5.0kw MHI inverter reverse cycle split system air conditioning, full LED lighting (internal and external), sound-reducing wall batts to the generator wall, and a comprehensive electrical fitout with ATS, distribution switchboard, and weatherproof external GPOs.
